Our Urban Garden has been the center of our lives since 1967. It feeds our kitchen with the highest quality organic produce possible: onions, leafy greens and radishes in the Spring, fava beans, herbs, horseradish, celery, corn, potatoes, beets, carrots, cucumbers, peas - the list goes on and on. Over the years we have experimented with a whole list of legal and illegal farm animals: up to fifteen colonies of honey bees, goats, rabbits and chickens. We just finished a cookbook which will be published next year. Our garden drove the development of that book and it drives our kitchen. We make our own horseradish sauce, our own butter, we raise fruit and put up a variety of things from our trees. We grow rhubarb. We tap our maple tree and gather and eat our own snails. We have a small personal red wine vineyard and make our own wine. We are glad to see urban gardening come back into fashion one more time. Hopefully this time it will remain an important and healthy part of city life here and around the World.
